Regional Infant Toddler Specialist Position

Child Care Resource and Referral Unit

 

Southwestern Child Development Commission, Inc. is accepting applications within Child Care Resource and Referral for a Regional Infant Toddler Specialist.  This position will provide technical assistance, training, support and encouragement to infant toddler child care programs in the Region 8 service area to achieve higher star licensure and/or to improve licensure status and quality.  Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, BK or related field and three years qualifying experience in an early childhood setting. Completed training and demonstrated competence with the Infant Toddler Environmental Rating Scales preferred. Additional certifications are required: Infant Toddler CLASS Observer, IT-SIDS trainer and NC Early Educator Certificate (Minimum of Level 11). Applicants must have a valid NC Driver’s License and a car available for work.   Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule to include some night and weekend work is required. Region 8 service area includes the 13 most Western Counties. Applicants with a combination of related educational and experience qualifications will be considered.

School Age Education Specialist

Southwestern Child Development Commission, Inc. is accepting applications for a grant funded positon within Child Care Resource and Referral for a School Age Education Specialist.  This position will develop and provide training to school age providers and technical assistance staff as part of the NC School Age statewide Project Initiative. Applicant must be able to provide training in both face-to-face and online formats and be able to facilitate train the trainer events.  Applicants must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in School Age Education, Early Childhood Education or related field and three years qualifying management experience in an early childhood setting. Applicant should be proficient in current NC Child Care Licensure Rules & Regulations.  Strong training and demonstrated competence with online training platforms preferred. Computer skills and knowledge or adaptability to learn multiple software applications a must.  Flexible night and weekend work are required.  Applicants must have a valid NC Driver’s License and a car available for work.   Applicants with a combination of related educational and experience qualifications will be considered.
